A Brand New Home
The Batavia house exterior is finished
It took several months for the 2016 Model ReModel house in Batavia to be completely renovated from the inside out. Today, Mike Spillane can step back and admire his handiwork while basking in the satisfaction of a job well done.
Not only does the house retain its original charm, and now boasts the latest building trends and technology on the market. Even before it was completed, the community took interest in this project and someone reached out to Spillane about purchasing it.
“I got a call from a couple who lived in Batavia. They saw the work taking place and wanted to walk through the house. Soon they made an offer and I accepted,” says Spillane. “I didn’t even have to put it on the market. There are a lot of people who appreciate a good renovation and don’t want to buy a cookie cutter home.”
So, what’s next for Spillane? He will begin converting a historic, four-room school house built in 1906 into a multi-family residence.
