Breathe new life into an old porch
Remodeling projects take place in stages, yet many activities take place simultaneously. While the old siding was removed, Spillane gutted the enclosed porch at the back of the house. Without walls and screens, the open-air porch appears larger and offers an unimpeded view. The roof will still offer protection from the elements, but the structure will now require less time and maintenance for the homeowner.
There are many amenities that can be built into an open-air porch. These include ceiling fans, lights, electrical outlets, audio speakers and fireplaces. Personalization of this space will be left to the discretion of the new owners.
